The Quilici Story
Domenico Lamberto Quilici was born in Lucca, Italy, 1931. At the age of 11 years old, Lamberto began to work as a barber. After building a strong skillset, he moved to Canada with a lira and a dream to start his own shop. Richmond Barbers, originally established in 1966, still operates to this day. The Quilici name remains strong while representing over 50 years of quality and craft.
Why We Started
What began as a basic idea spiralled beautifully out of control into the Quilici Essentials brand. The idea was to offer a quality grooming and wellness products at our family-owned and operated barbershop. We found it difficult to source a product that functioned well, smelled excellent, contained minimal chemicals and was sustainable. So we spent two years formulating our own. The result is handmade craft products, made in small batches with ingredients purchased from local businesses. The product embodies the Quilici story and philosophies of long lasting quality through excellence in craft.
How It’s Made
Our handmade products are passionately handcrafted with care, emphasizing the use of organic ingredients using only essentials. We do not use synthetic fragrances or preservatives and proudly display the ingredients used in production on every product sold. Our mission is to offer the highest quality product possible while making it affordable and accessible to all social classes. All products are handmade which allow us to control the quality of every batch and ensure our commitment to quality is upheld. All products are tested by us. We only offer products we would use ourselves.
